Adjectives: do we add -e or not?
In Dutch, an adjective can be used:
1) Adjective without a noun → no -e
If the adjective stands by itself (it is not directly in front of a noun), you do not add -e.
2) Adjective before a noun → usually -e
If the adjective is in front of a noun, it usually gets -e.
Exception (important!)
If the noun is a het-word, singular, and indefinite (with een), then the adjective has no -e.
